            Setting Up your Star TSP100 Receipt Printer

            The Star TSP100III model connects wirelessly to your internet router and provides wireless receipt printing from your Windows computer. NOTE: Like the Star TSP100 model, the Star TSP100III can also provide wireless receipt printing by connecting directly to your internet router with an ethernet cord and works on an ipad too.

            Test Receipts
            The test receipts will provide you the IP address needed to setup your printer on your POS computer. To perform a hardware self test on your printer please follow the instructions below:
            • Turn your printer OFF
            • Hold the feed button down and turn the power back ON at the same time
            • Release the feed button. This will print out two test receipts
            • At the bottom of the second page, it will show 'Current IP Parameters Status'
            • Hang on to this page or make a note of the IP Address

            Please Note: Your IP address will be different to the one listed in the picture above

            Install the Drivers for the Receipt Printer
            • To get started you will need to download the latest drivers for your computer. To get this go to Star's Website here» 
            • Fill out the details based on your printer to download the latest drivers
            • Once the download is completed, go to your downloads folder and install the drivers

            Install the Printer
            Once you have installed the drivers, you can install the printer to your computer.
            • Go to your computer Start Menu and select Devices & Printers
            • Search for the printer using the IP address on the original test receipt to install the receipt printer

            Update the Paper Size for Receipts
            Once the printer is installed, you will want to set the paper size dimensions.
            • Go to your computer Start Menu and select Printers
            • Open the settings of your Star Printer
            • Right click on the printer icon with the name that matches your model (i.e. TSP143LAN) and select Printer Properties
            • Locate the Advanced Tab and select the tab for Printer Defaults
            • Set the paper size to 72mm x Receipt

            Enable Kiosk Mode Printing for Google Chrome

            • If not already installed, download and install Google Chrome here»
            • Check that your receipt printer is set as your default printer
            • Launch Chrome and check that the Chrome Version is the latest version
            • Type about:flags in the address bar and ensure that the Disable Print Preview flag is NOT enabled (Print Preview must be enabled for Kiosk Printing to work)
            • Next, navigate to the Chrome settings page by typing chrome://settings/ into the address bar
            • Under the On Startup section, select open a specific page or set of pages and click set page
            • Enter https://pos.simplycms.com/ here and click save
            • After this, find the Chrome browser shortcut on your desktop, right click and select Properties
            • Append the following text to the end of the target field after a space: --kiosk-printing
            • Save these changes and launch Google Chrome. It should now load in full screen (kiosk) mode!
            • When you print using the Browser Print option, the print preview will appear on your screen, but will instantly print a receipt to your default printer.
            Wireless Printing

            1. Open up a browser tab and obtain the IP address of the printer within the Star configuration page
            2. With the truvi POS, Select Menu, Printer Settings, and Select the drop down to select the URL (WebPrint) 


            1. Set the URL, for example, http://192.168.1.xx/ ensuring there is a slash at the end of the IP address



            1. Save the URL settings
            2. Close the settings menu
            3. You may need to log out and back in

            • Turn your printer OFF
            • Hold the feed button down and turn the power back ON at the same time
            • Reprint the receipt
