            Do my Orders Authorize and Capture payment immediately?
            Order processed through the POS settle immediately. Order placed on the website are authorized and settled at end of day ahead of gateway batching.

            What is the difference between a merchant account, payment processor and payment gateway?

            There are three elements for taking payments from customers and receiving the revenue into your business account.  They work together to transfer money from the customer to the merchant.
            1. A merchant account = Is a bank account that authorizes you to accept credit card payments online. 
            2. A payment processor = the financial institution that work in the background to provide all of the payment processing services used by an online merchant.  The payment processor connects to both the merchant account and payment gateway, passing information back and forth, keeping it secure. Some payment processors provide merchant services too.  There are two stages to payment processing; the authorization (done by the processor) and the settlement (transmitting data between your bank and the customer's bank) done by the gateway. Some examples of companies are Card Connect & Stripe.
            3. A payment gateway = your doorway to making sales online.  A payment gateway will allow you to charge your customer's credit/debit card with the purchase made online. Some examples are First Data Corp, Authorize.net and PayPal.
